Gamers Web 40,000

Gamers Web would like to thank everyone who has supported the site and our YouTube channel as we celebrate a landmark by reaching over 40,000 hits.

While no stranger to the internet, Gamers Web has been around for a long time and was at one point getting around a 100,000 hits a week, those days are long gone and it has been hard work to try and build up traffic to the site once again.  40,000 of course has connotations to Warhammer 40,000 but I feel it is a great milestone to reach anyway!

I relaunched Games Web on August 12th 2017 and due to work commitments and health issues I was unable to concentrate on the site till August 1st 2018 when I began to dedicate more time to the site itself. As such we have gone from just short of 9,000 hits in almost twelve months to a staggering 40,000 hits since August 1st this year, that is over 31,000 hits in four months and I am truly honoured and humbled by this support.

Gamers Web is done for love of the hobbies I hold dear (games, film, cosplay, conventions, etc) and not to make profit and almost everything reviewed here on Gamers Web comes from my own pocket, with the exception of a few items (which are always stated and credited) supplied by companies from time to time.

As such would like to take a moment to thank all those in the industry who have helped us with news items, prize support and just simple encouragement, and to all those who have visited the site itself and hope to bring you much more content on a daily basis.

My many thanks go to Chris Birch, Jon Webb, Sam Webb and all the guys at Modiphius Entertainment.  To Stuart Mackeness and all the folks over at Warcradle.  To John Stallard and Paul Sawyer at Warlord Games and all the folks there.  To Alessio Cavatore and Dave Clarke of Riverhorse. To Drew Wood of YFT Studios, Dave Wood of The Little Solider Company and all the guys at Crooked Dice Studios, Funky Skull Games and Great Escape Games.  To everyone at Grim Skull and Wargames Exclusive,  Safe & Sound figure cases, and everyone at EN Publishing for help with articles, support or prizes and interviews.  To all the hundreds of people in the cosplay community who have visited the site, and all the hundreds from Facebook, Facebook groups and Twitter!

And finally to three of the most special people in my life and my world.  To George Fyvie and Kenny Kirkpatrick and my beloved wife Laura Farrimond. Thank you for believing and supporting my dreams no matter how crazy I make you feel with talk of unboxings and reviews!

Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart!

To celebrate we will be giving away some special gifts in the next few days from our friends in the games industry so please keep your eyes on Gamers Web.
