Official Warhammer 40,000 VoxCast Podcast now up (Games Workshop)

Games Workshop are one of the biggest games companies on the planet!  They produce and sell millions of items every year, have stocks and shares and other vested interests and a huge multitude of loyal fans (both young and old) all over the world!

The company has its friendly and accessible web portals for a wide range of its products, a huge fan community base with Warhammer Community which is one of the best for any games company and much more.  Now adding a further string to this bow is the Official Warhammer 40,000 VoxCast, a podcast series that as far as I am aware for the first time in the companies history will look at the game and its backgrounds from the stance of those who create it!

So what makes this so important?  Well it was only a few short years ago that Games Workshop was extremely closed ranks about all of its IP’s (Intellectual Properties, the stuff it owns) and the idea of an official podcast would have been balked at by Games Workshop as something that only lesser companies seemed to do!

Thankfully those days are now gone and we finally have a great community sense and presence which is nowhere near as draconian as it used to be, allowing for the company to finally deliver something that the fans have been waiting for many, many years to arrive!

The first official VoxCast features Wade Price in a very deep and open conversation with one of the worlds leading miniature designers and artists Jes Goodwin!  Having known Jes for a long, long time it is still really great to see how enthusiastic and passionate he still is about the hobby he cares for so much and if you do play or collect Warhammer 40,000 I would strongly urge that you tune in and give this a watch to the very end.

So what are your thoughts on this podcast? Are you pleased that Games Workshop are at long last giving the fans what they wanted, or is this not for you? Let us know in the comments section
