Hard Hitters ain’t Quitters! (TTCombat)

As I mentioned in my review of The Gravedigger for TTCombats excellent Rumbleslam Fantasy wrestling game; the world of professonal wrestling is filled with all sorts of characters, some crazy and some just down right nuts!

For every Joe or Jill Average who remains in the background for their career, there are shining lights who for one reason or another rise to become superstars!  Many of these are seen as role models and eventually make their way to the ultimate job with movie acting, while some just remain at the top of the game for decades until they retire (often for the nth time)!

It isn’t just the guys who dominate pro wrestling and become heroes to millions.  For every Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson or ‘Stone Cold’  Steve Austin, there is a Tiffany or Beth Phoenix, females who can give the guys more than a run for their money and then some.

While the male wrestlers often have overly exaggerated backstories that spin and weave like a tapestry, the female wrestlers often tend to start out as love interests for the males and their story gets fleshed out due to a love triangle that is played out for the fans.

Stunningly beautiful and twice as dangerous, the maxim that hell hath no fury than a woman scorned with these divas is often very apt indeed.

As in the real world, the wrestlers of Rumbleslam have their own counterparts and some of these become superstars.  One such superstar with legions of loyal fans and a huge following is the self proclaimed Queen of Rumbleslam Triple D!

Triple D is what one could call an amalgamation of famous female wrestlers from the past twenty years or so, being inspired by several rather than just one.  She is fast and cunning like Beth Phoenix , has a tendency to be a bad girl rather than good, adding aspects of Chyna to her mix!

Of course with a female wrestler named Triple D one would think that it was for other things, but her name is actually Diana so forget those ideas right away!

The model is cast as a single piece casting and sees Triple D, chest puffed out and back arched as she goads someone to attack her and taunt her opponents! Arms by her side with clenched fists, this is one lady you really don’t want to mess with.

The animation is fluid and the simplistic lines of her sculpt accent the muscle tone of the build, making the miniature look  more than capable of taking care of itself in the ring.  Lots of flesh too for those brave enough to start going over board with detailing and adding tattoos to this excellently sculpted miniature!

As with all Rumbleslam models, Triple D comes with a clear acrylic base to mount her one once painted and her own unique character card with all her in game stats

With an ATT of 2 Silver, Def of 1 Gold, 1 Silver, GRP of 2 Gold and Dex of 2 Silver, this lady is where its at when it comes to game mechanics and when you throw in her special abilities she becomes pretty deadly.

Triple D is a Heel, which means that whenever she does a crowd pleaser she is looking for the crowd to boo her rather than cheer, which will only spur her on more and more!  If she manages to pull off her crowd pleaser then each friendly wrestler deals 1DMG to an enemy wrestler that they are in base contact with.  Add Triple D to a team like The Heavy Pounders and she can really help knock up those knockdowns fast. She would also make a great addition to Runic Thunder due to her speed and dirty tricks, and shes best when used with others from the same stable of Kaisers Palace Casino!

Still she isn’t cheap coming at 300k and with a MP and AP of both 4 she is on par with other superstars of Rumbleslam, but its her dirty tricks such as Clothesline from Hell (causes knockdown and throw 1) that make her a force to be reckoned with .

Triple D is available from TTCombat directly and from all good game stockists everywhere!
