Tanks for the memories. More vehicles for Star Wars: Legion (Fantasy Flight Games)

One of the things that makes the Star Wars universe appealing to many fans is the unique and amazing vehicles that populate its planets. From Tatooine to Coruscant, or Corellia these modes of transport all catch the eye.

Fantasy Flight Games announced yesterday that they are going to release not one but two new vehicles for the best selling game Star Wars: Legion, the modified X-34 Landspeeder and the TX-225 GAVw Occupier Combat Assault Tank will soon join the T47-Airspeeder, ATST, ATRT, and Speeder Bikes for dominance of the battlefield.

The X-34 is common sight on many worlds, and is tough and resilient enough to work on even the most barren worlds or harshest climates.  This is often the workhorse of many settlers on worlds such as Tatooine and while it comes in many various shapes, sizes and colours, it all works around a single antigrav system.

Of course in times of need people will do what they can with whatever they can find and turn anything to their own advantage.  So strapping heavy weapons onto a fast moving vehicle is an way around the lack of manufacturing facilities that the Rebellion has when compared to the Empires might.

It is fast and agile and ideal for making hit and run attacks against strategic targets or capturing objectives.

This is the same vehicle that Luke Skywalker sold when he left behind his life on the desert world of Tatooine in Star Wars A New Hope.

The TX-225 GAVw Occupier Combat Assault Tank is a really heavy hitting vehicle and was featured in Rogue One.  This open-air vehicle can be multi-roll and operate as a ground support unit, transport unit or supply unit, and it is built to withstand a lot of punishment and deliver even more with its array of heavy weaponry.   The sight of a TX-225 GAVw Occupier is often enough to sway a populace into compliance alone!

Both the X-34 and TX-225 GAVw Occupier Combat Assault Tank expansions are due out later this year and are currently on pre-order over at the Fantasy Flight Games website.  Adding more firepower to your battles of Legion with the ability to capture objectives fast and hold onto them is a must for any commander.
