Q-Con is BACK!

It was a emotional rollercoaster last year at Q-Con, one of the best run conventions in the whole of the UK, as it held its final event at the legandray Queens Student Union (SU) buildings in Belfast!  The show has been a huge part of my life for so long now that this year was not only going to be difficult without the con, but I was going to miss my extended family over in Belfast more than words can express.

We knew that Q-Con XXV would be the final in its old home, but the future was uncertain as to what would happen further down the line and it could be years till the show found a new venue or returned to its old stomping grounds.

But at midday today it was announced that the show would return once again to Belfast when Queens University Dragonslayers changed their Facebook cover and posted the image below.

I have been lucky enough to have been involved with Q-Con for many, many years and have to say that it is honestly the single highlight of my year and I am thrilled that a new venue has been found, details of which are yet to be announced.  If you have never been to Q-Con, you have missed out on what can only be described as three days of pure fun and enjoyment, with people who have a real passion for games, gaming, cosplay and fun.

More details when they are announced but for now head on over to the Official Facebook page and stay tuned.
