Space Marine Action Figure. Games Workshop

When I post things on Gamers Web, I also share them on relavant groups on Facebook.  This is two-fold really as it can draw in more traffic to my site, and also keep the debate going as not many people tend to comment on the site but will on Facebook.

A while ago, I posted about the release of the young reader books, Warhammer Adventures and that was going to see a change in direction for Games Workshop and the future.  This did lead to a fair bit of discussion over on Facebook and one of the things I mentioned was that most like Games Workshop would get involved at some point in the near future with Action Figures.

I did get a lot of people making snide comments about that, and I am old enough in the tooth to just ignore the trolls and those who are keyboard commanders.  Still, I have been doing this a long time, with Gamers Web being around since 1997, and working in the games industry in one way or another for many years, one gets to be able to read into things at times.

So today over on the Warhammer Community page, it was announced that Games Workshop will release a Space Marine action figure in association with toy giant Bandi!  The Primaris Space marine will be shown off at Warhammer Fest along with a range of Chibi style characters based on Warhammer 40,000 characters!

The only real surprise for me was not the announcement as I have been expecting that, but the partner as I was sure it was bound to be Hasbro who have been trying to get partnerships with the company for many years and are one of the worlds largest toy manufacturers.

This is great news for toy collectors though as Bandi have some amazing ranges in their catalouge and I know that I for one will definetly be grabbing a couple of these if I can.

There will be a full reveal at Warhammer Fest but until then here are the images from the guys over at the Community pages.
