Riverhorse Delivers Early

Kickstarters can be odd things, sometimes they don’t get funded and a great game misses out on its release to the world at large.  Other times they do get funded but run into snags and problems that mean the game is delayed often by months but in some cases years!

Of course this is part of what you expect from crowdfunding and for every successfully delivered kickstarter, there is always a dozen or so that hit these hurdles.  However its a quite rare thing to have a kickstarter deliver before its scheduled release and when it does happen it is a hear warming feeling all around.

Riverhorse are no stranger to crowdfunding, having run several very successful campaigns for products over the past few years and quite recently they had a huge success with Mockingjay the Hunger Games Board Game, and now they are pleased to announce that are shipping the game to backers way before their estimated date.

From the press release.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – The Board Game
It’s on its way!

This week we released a new update to the backers of our Kickstarter of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – The Board Game. Manufacturing is now complete, and on the way to our fulfilment centre in the UK. This means we should be fulfilling these games two months ahead of schedule!

You can read the full update on our Kickstarter page, and there is still time to preorder your own copy from your local game store. Alternatively, if you can not get to a game store, then why not preorder from the River Horse website?

Many congratulations to Alessio and all the talented folks at Riverhorse!
