New Partworks from Hachette and Games Workshop

As you most likely know I have been following the progress of the weekly partworks magazine Warhammer 40,000: Conquest from Hachette Partworks and Games Workshop for over a year now, having only missed one issue to date.

The magazine has been a great success and helped bring a lot of new folks into the hobby and it was only a matter of time till Hachette turned their attention to the fantasy worlds of Age of Sigmar and they have just announced a brand new partwork weekly magazine, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Mortal Realms which will be out very shortly.

Like its sister magazine Conquest, Mortal Realms will build into two factions for the fantasy system, with new models and paints and terrain being added each week.  The forces of Order (or the good guys) will get Stormhosts, those paragons of virtue who serve Sigmar with undying fealty and the forces of Death  (or the bad guys I guess) that will try to bring around the end to the Mortal Realms.

Issue One will come with  3 easy-to-build Sequitors, 10 easy-to-build Chainrasps, dice, ruler and battle mat, all for the low price of just £2.99 an issue.

Issue Two comes with 4 Banshees, Corax White paint and brush.

Issue Three comes with 4 Castigators with Gryph-Hound and Retributor Armour paint.

And finally, Issue Four comes with Glavewraith Stalkers, Nihilakh Oxide paint and a battle mat.

I haven’t really played Age of Sigmar and have been meaning to do so for a long time, having only briefly played when the game came out a couple of years ago.  However this may just tempt me enough and Conquest is close to finishing now, being well over the half way point, so I am hoping to cover both in weekly videos which will be great really as I don’t know too much about AoS to be honest so its a learning curve.

You can subscribe to the magazine right now and if you do you get some tools and such that normally are not available in the magazine.  its not been shown yet what you will get in the full run of the magazine but I would imagine it will include terrain much like Conquest.
