Do you play contemporary miniature games such as Batman or even Malafux? Our friends at Warcradle have something that may give your games board a cool and eyecatching twist. Funland is a deserted amusement park, complete with rollercoaster that just screams to be painted and converted and is now available for preorder
Due to be released on September 27th, Funland will be ideal for most modern-day or horror-themed miniatures game such as Mantics ‘The Walking Dead’ and the set comprises of enough cool stuff to make a really impressive looking games board or table.
First up is the Rollercoaster. It has seen much better days and is in a bad state of decay, and carries that menacing look that only can be found in an abandoned theme park (I used to live near one and it was spooky as hell). Complete with two cars and an ominous looking clown face, this wil be a really cool talking point for any games board and at £25 is really good value for what you get.
The Rollercoaster would be lost without another ride, even though it has a big footprint and no amusement park worth its salts is complete without a Ferris Wheel. The Ferris Wheel is a big kit and while not as run down looking as the Rollercoaster, it can easily be distressed and give that whole Wild Adventures from Zombieland feel!
Of course, you are going to want to keep your visitors in your theme park to take those lovely brains, er I mean dollars from them. And what better way than with a fence to run around the park. Add to that some stalls to keep them fed and watered and of course a cool themed entrance that again keeps the whole spooky clown look going and you’re having a blast, now all that is needed is a clown, some floating red ballons and perhaps some meddling kids and their dog too!
All of the Funland kits are made from high quality MDF and come unassembled and unpainted. Hopefully, I will bring you a full review very soon, and for the low cost this is excellent value for money and will make an ideal setting for most modern games, and be awesome for the Marvel Crisis Protocol from Atomic Mass Games once it comes out!
