Army Spotlight: Craig Brown

Welcome to a new feature here on Gamers Web, Army Spotlight!  Here we will chat with fellow gamers about the hobby and more importantly their lovingly painted and converted armies for a wide variety of games.

Kicking things off with my dear friend Mr Craig Brown and a look at his Catachan Jungle Fighters.

Craig has been modelling and gaming for a very long time, despite his youthful appearance and is a very successful wargamer, especially when it comes down to historical wargames such as Warlord Games epic Bolt Action WW2 skirmish game.

Craig often keeps a cool head when playing games, thinking a good few moves ahead of his opponent and has the luck of the devil sometimes when it comes to dice rolls, having played against him many times in the past!

Craig is a passionate gamer and an excellent miniature painter and will often spend weeks on painting a model up, that is after hes spent even more time converting it, tweaking it and chopping it around so it looks nothing like the original.

He plays lots of different games and has a love for all things World War 2 but really likes to play Warhammer 40,000 and Necromunda when he can.  His forces are always amazing to look at and recently I got to see his current project, his Catachan Jungle Fighters for Warhammer 40,000.

As you can see from the images, Craig is an expert when it comes to conversions and has spent many hours cutting and chopping his miniatures and adding extra parts, sometimes mixing and matching from other units or even in some cases other genres.

This current project is just one of several that Craig is working on at the moment and is far from finished but getting there.  He has spent the past twelve months working on this army, as well as painting up Polish troopers and US troopers for Bolt Action, units for Konflikt 47, Necromunda gangs and much more.

I honestly have no idea where he finds the time but I am glad he does.
