Warhammer 40,000 9th Edition Announced. Games Workshop

With the planet more or less on total lockdown due to Covid-19, a lot of us have had far to much time on our hands while we sit at home. Many games companies have jumped at the chance to draw our attentions and offered us free entertainment in the form of virtual events, webcasts and more, in order to keep themselves busy and in the public eye, as well help us out.  Games Workshop began doing a series of weekly broadcasts on Twitch TV and today they let the biggest cat of them all out of the bag in front of about eighteen million viewers!

Below is the announcement trailer from the Warhammer Comunities live stream that announces the immenant arrival of Warhammer 40,000 9th Edition.  The cinematics are perhaps the best that Games Workshop have ever undertaken and helps to set the scene for what will come along soon.

The announcement of the game was also accompanied by the revealing of a few new models for the game, including Primaris Intersecsors with Chainswords, and brand new Necron Warriors, as the return of the Silent King will be the focus of most of this new version of the game, so expect lots of cool new Necron units.

As well as the new miniatures that were shown, a brand new app for the game was announced that will allow players around the world to get the very best out of the game they love so much!

Add to this a new range of novels and the launch of the official Warhamer 40,000 website and the future looks far from grim and dark for fans of the franchise and game.

As of yet there is no concrete date as to the release or preorder or even the price. It’s looking likely from leaked images that the new boxed version of the game will feature Primaris Marines including the new Assault and Bikers, as well as all new Necron sculpts giving a total of around fifty models all told.

Check out the awesome cinematic trailer below and visit the official website for more sneak peeks.
