Seth MacFarlane is a very talented guy, he can sing, he is an award winning animator and has brought us some awesome shows over the past two decades, from Family Guy to The Orville and much more.
While merchandise for most of his other shows and works like American Dad and the Ted movies is pretty much available everywhere, trying to find anything based on the hit show The Orville is pretty difficult. In fact unless its DVDs, a book or a few badges/pins you will be really hard pushed.
Last year Eaglemoss announced at the New York Toy Fair that they would be making a range of collectors ships based around the show, and the first of these is now finally available to pre-order from the online store.
USS ORVILLE ECV-197
HeroCollector is proud to reveal the titular ship from the Orville – an American science fiction comedy-drama television series created by and starring Seth MacFarlane.
This fantastic XL-sized USS Orville ship is a mid-sized Exploratory-class vessel in the Planetary Union. It was designed for long-distance exploration into uncharted space, with nearly 300 crew members (and their families) living aboard. This titular ship serves as the primary setting for The Orville, as washed-up Captain Ed Mercer (Seth McFarlane) leads a crew of colourful characters on their voyage through the stars! Its interior walls are a synthetic fiber that acts like an artificial plant system, absorbing carbon dioxide and expelling oxygen. Even the ship’s water recycling system is entirely self-sustaining, allowing the Orville to sustain its crew for long voyages without the need to resupply or offload waste.
The USS Orville ECV-197 XL Ship captures the beautifully sleek lines and sophisticated design of the ship. The futuristic ship stands out with the three curved engine loops at the back.
