Comic Con Scotland 2018: For the Love of 80s!

Comic Con Scotland took place this weekend just passed and I was lucky enough to receive a press pass so I could cover the event for Gamers. Dubbed For the Love of 80s, this is the first convention on Scottish soil for Monopoly Events, the convention organisers and as you can understand by the shows title, it was dedicated to all things 1980s! Is Cosplay doomed to destroy itself?

Cosplaying is big business now, gone are the days that only one or two people would turn up to a comic convention dressed as their favorite character, all down partly to the success of big budget movies such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise and the rise of ‘Geek Culture’ with television shows such as The Big Bang Theory that makes being a geek a cool and hip thing.
